Evolux Eiris
Evolux Eiris progressive lenses are calculated using an innovative technique that allows for precise control of the vision zones and the progression zone. This is SplinActiv' technology.
SplinActiv' Technology
SplinActiv’ technology is based on “Splines” curves used for complex harmonious shapes. To implement them, they require anchor points and control points. Their variation is then calculated using cubic functions (polynomials).
-
In the case of progressive lenses, this calculation method ensures consistent vision zones without discontinuities.
-
to provide greater flexibility in the choice of corridors
-
to better smooth the progression from VL to VP.
Benefits
-
The viewing areas are enlarged and clear. The transition between the VL and VP is smooth.
-
The wearer's comfort is improved and it is easier to adjust.
Visualization of SplinActiv' technology
Below is a simplified version of the calculation method using SplinActiv’ technology.
Calculation results
Presentation: Eiris flat lens Add +2.00D.
On the cylindrical aberration map, the large areas of distance and near vision are easily noticeable.
The vision zones have smooth, seamless transitions, offering great visual comfort.
